Akademie Jana Amose Komenského Jičín je největší vzdělávací neziskovou institucí svého druhu s dlouholetou tradicí. Aktivity, které nabízí a realizuje v rámci okresu Jičín a nebližšího okolí, se dají rozdělit do dvou základních skupin.
 
Základním posláním je podílet se na rozvoji a realizaci systému vzdělávání dospělých v různém spektru oborů a činností. Nabízí rekvalifikační kurzy a vzdělávací semináře jak pro firmy a instituce tak pro nejširší veřejnost z oblastí jakými jsou například ekonomika a účetnictví, výpočetní technika nebo cestovní ruch.
 
Velmi důležitou součástí nabídky je také jazyková výuka, která se opět orientuje jak na veřejnost tak na firmy a instituce v tomto regionu. Akademie J.A.Komenského realizuje jak kurz cizích jazyků s denní výukou (tzv.pomaturitní studium) tak odpolední a večerní kurzy pro veřejnost. Vedle toho zajišťuje individuální výuku i pro zaměstnance a management některých významných firem.
 
Jednoznačně nejoblíbenější jsou odpolední a večerní kurzy anglického jazyka od vědomostního stupně Beginner (Level 1) až po závěrečné získání certifikátu FCE (First Certificate in English). Nejen v rámci této výuky je velmi důležitá tradiční a dlouhodobá spolupráce s rodilými mluvčími anglického jazyka, kterými jsou v současné době Steve, Scott, Iain a Betsy. Nabídka Akademie J.A.Komenského obsahuje od září 2008 také výuku jazyka německého, španělského, francouzského a ruského.
 
Sídlem Akademie J.A.Komenského je historické město Jičín s cca 17 tisíci obyvateli. Jedná se o bývalé okresní město, jehož největší rozvoj se datuje do období vlády Albrechta z Valdštejna, v první polovině 17.století. Pro turisty a návštěvníky je Jičín zajímavý svou příznivou 100 km severovýchodně od Prahy a blízkostí nejvyšších českých hor - Krkonoše. Jičín je nejvýznamnějším centrem turistické oblasti Český ráj, která je známá nejen úchvatnou přírodou a skalními městy (např.: Prachovské skály 2 km od Jičína), ale v poslední době také částí, která je zapsaná do seznamu geoparků UNESCO.

Die Akademie Johann Amos Comenius (Akademie Jana Amose Komenského) Jičín ist die gröβte regionale Bildungsorganisation nichtgewinnorientierten Charakters mit langer Tradition. Die Aktivitäten, die sie im Bezirk Jičín und Umgebung anbietet, sind in zwei Bereiche einzuordnen.

Der Grundauftrag der Akademie wird durch die Teilnahme an der Entwicklung und Durchführung von Erwachsenenbildung in verschiedenen Fach- und Tätigkeitsbereichen bestimmt. Sie bietet Weiterbildungskurse und Ausbildungsseminare sowohl für Unternehmen und Institutionen als auch für die breite Öffentlichkeit unter anderem in den Bereichen Wirtschaftswissenschaft, Buchhaltung, elektronische Datenverarbeitung oder Tourismus.

Ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Angebotes ist auch der Sprachunterricht, der wiederum auch auf die Öffentlichkeit und Unternehmen in dieser Region ausgerichtet ist. Die Akademie Johann Amos Comenius bietet sowohl Fremdsprachenkurse mit täglichem Unterricht (zur fremdsprachlichen Zusatzqualifikation, z.B. nach dem Abitur) als auch Nachmittags- und Abendkurse an. Darüber hinaus bietet sie auch Einzelpersonen, Angestellten und Managern Privatunterricht an.

Unser beliebtestes Angebot sind die Nachmittags- und Abendkurse im Fach Englisch, die das komplette Spektrum von der Wissensstufe Beginner (Level 1) bis zum finalen Zertifikatserwerb FCE (First Certificate in English) beinhalten. Nicht nur im Rahmen dieses Unterrichts legen wir schon immer Wert auf die Zusammenarbeit mit englischen Muttersprachlern, zur Zeit sind an der Akademie vier Muttersprachler aus dem englischen Sprachraum angestellt. Seit September 2008 umfasst das Angebot der Akademie auch Unterricht in Deutsch, Spanisch, Französisch und Russisch.

Der Sitz der Akademie Johann Amos Comenius ist die historische Stadt Jičín mit ca. 17 000 Einwohnern. Es handelt sich um eine ehemalige Bezirksstadt, deren Blütezeit in der Zeit der Herrschaft Albrechts von Wallenstein in der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts lag. Für die Touristen und Besucher ist die Stadt auch durch ihre Lage interessant, da sie nur 100 km nordöstlich von Prag liegt und nicht weit vom Riesengebirge, dem höchsten Gebirge Tschechiens, entfernt ist. Jičín ist ein wichtigste Zentrum im  Böhmischen Paradies, welches nicht nur für seine faszinierende Natur und seine Felsenstädte (z. B. der Prachover Felsen) bekannt ist, sondern auch durch die Eintragung in die Liste der UNESCO-Geoparks.

Wir sind ein ordentliches Mitglied der Cambridge Schools Association der Tschechischen Republik.

Des Weiteren sind wir Mitglied der Wirtschaftskammer der Tschechischen Republik und Besitzer des ethischen Kodex Königgrätz der Tschechischen Republik.

About us

Akademie Jana Amose Komenského Jičín is the largest non-profit-making organization of its kind, with a long tradition. The activities it offers and provides within the district of Jičín and the surrounding area can be divided up into two basic groups.
 
The basic aim of the school is to play a part in the development and implementation of an adult education system covering a wide range of fields and activities. It offers requalification courses and educational seminars both for firms and institutions as well as for the general public, from areas such as economics and accountancy, computers, or tourism.
 
A very important part of what we offer is language courses, which again are aimed at the general public as well as companies and institutions in the region. Akademie J.A.Komenského offers daily foreign language lessons approved by MŠMT ČR (known as pomaturitní studium, for students who have just completed secondary school), as well as afternoon and evening courses for the public. It also provides individual lessons for the employees and management of some major local companies.
 
By far the most popular are the afternoon and evening English language courses, from Beginner level (Level 1) through to taking the FCE (First Certificate in English). It is not just in these lessons that our traditional and long-established work with our native English speakers is important (these are currently Steve, Scott, Tim and Betsy). As of September 2008 the courses offered by Akademie J.A.Komenského also include German, Spanish, French, and Russian lessons.
 
Akademie J.A.Komenského is based in the historical town of Jičín, which has some 17 thousand inhabitants. It is a former district town, whose greatest development boom dates back to the time of the reign of Albrecht of Valdstein, in the early 17th century. Jičín is of interest to tourists and visitors as it is only 100 km northeast of Prague and is near to the highest mountains in the Czech Republic – the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains). Jičín is the most important centre of the tourist region of the Bohemian Paradise, which is famous not only for its impressive countryside and rock towns (such as Prachov Rocks, 2 km from Jičín), but also in recent years for the part that is listed as a UNESCO geopark.
